The Mrs. and I were out wheeling the westernmost portion on the Mojave Road in the Mojave National Preserve on Saturday.  The only portion we have left to do is the easternmost portion.  Love this trail!!!  Hate the pigs who trash it.  I don't mind stopping and taking in scenery.  I do mind stopping to pick up soda cans, beer bottles, tarps, gas cans, etc.  And I do stop to pick it up behind the swine who leave it.  Hopefully, none of this pertains to anyone on this board, but if it does, stay at home and trash your own house while pondering why major trails are shut down all the time.

Yeah and the culprits around here are usually not four wheelers but people partying or just plain dumping garbage. Our trails in BC are closing fast and this has allot to do with it.

my 2 cents

Simply disgusting.  It can be anybody, too.  We're going to the desert this weekend and one time there was a group of local high school kids partying in a shack near our camp, and there were partying LATE.  Woke up the next morning to find they had left all their trash everywhere.  I always pick up trash when I have a chance to---"pack it in, pack it out"

In college we had a guy toss out a can.... I radioed to my friend in front of him who stopped the trail ride, we pinned his truck in and refused to move till his punk a$$ got out and picked up the can.... He initially refused when we told him to pick it up and then tried to act like a bad a$$ in front of his girl. It was FUNNY when he realized we would sit there all night and he got out throwing a fit and picked it up  Wink

It sucks to need to pick up after others, but if we dint do it, they will end up nasty and CLOSED.....
