Godzuki II, first trail ride
« on: February 08, 2009, 02:13:52 PM »
Man I wish we had a s|removethispart|t eating grin smiley, but even that would not express how pleased I am with the ride. Even being a Kick on 37's I was the BABY of this bunch.... ahhhhh, back home in the world of V-8 buggies and cab trucks, with enough HP to pull over a house and tires as tall as my hood  8).

The entire day was made up with me pointing my Liberty Overland Kick at a little tougher of an obstacle and it tackling it every time. The pinnacle moment of the day is when (with an AWESOME spotter) the Kick made short work of a 6-7' vertical ledge that I thought was impossible 8). The truck was stable through everything I pointed it towards, I was amazed .

Pics coming as soon as I can get them uploaded.

Thanks!!! I am still hyped up about the ride after a wrestless night of sleep... Yes I had a dream about wheeling  :sleepy:  ;D . Dont worry Mike, it will still be driveable when you get here next week. We are going to another play area next weekend for a little more play time. Greg, I will send you some footage after next weekend. We only got about 5-10 min max yesterday.

Oh yea, I forgot the Carnage report....

One cracked drivers side mirror housing (need a fold away) and a couple of scratched in the sliders and bumpers.

I landed HARD on my Trail Tough Bumpers and Shrockworks sliders a couple of times and left nothing but a scratch. Coming out of those rockpiles with no body damage made them worth every penny. I took a shot to the passenger side slider that I thought I had easily damaged the slider and the door but it held strong. Then when I fell off the rock doing a video tape for Greg, I tagged the rear bumper with the weight of the entire vehicle free falling and once again.. nothing but a scratch. These things are built TOUGH!

Certainly looks like you made it up that wall much more gracefully then the yellow buggy did... Looking good Zig...

-Eric

p.s. I just noticed the windshield is missing something! I wonder what else I forgot? ;)

I thought about that on the ride home. No worries, I have been sporting the Zukiworld T's and sweat shirts everytime I'm out in it  ;) Can you do one in a Dark Grey (matching the camo.. even better an urban camo one)?

Zig have you considered an ultimate adventure entry? I know Id love to see the holy grail of trackkicks in it.

I have considered it, but if I took two weeks off of work to wheel, I would rather do it with friends than in a magazines ride. I am going to try and hit many different riding areas this year and really test her out.
