North of the border.
« on: February 17, 2007, 06:05:45 AM »
Hello everyone. I am new to this site. In the process of building a tracker. Looking for some spots north of the border. I am in the Toronto area. Want to try out the truck locally this year and work out the bugs before heading south for some of that zukfari action.

We're doing a snow run tomorrow in Welland/St.kits area.
We are meeting at the Tim Horton's off Centenial Parkway and the QEW in Hamilton at 10:00am to roll down to Niagara area to wheel, come on out if you'd like.

I never knew the you could run from Bowmanville to Apsley. That sounds good. When do you start, in the spring. My truck is not ready to go yet, but soon enough. I might have some other guys interested so we will keep in touch.

Sorry i should clarify i run on the power line north of bowmanville, the ganaraska forest, the northumberland forest, and also from cordoba mines to apsley through(around) petroglyphs. i have been told you can ron from havelock to apsley not quite sure yet. when i said i run from bowmanville to apsley i meant i go to place in all those areas not one run. my zook is almost ready as well need to fit the 33s. i havnt been wheeling in about 4 years so i dont have anyone but relitives to run with so the more the marrier. ;D

Well Greg  In the front I have modified the frame. It has raised it 8 inches and no suspension mods yet. Maybe 2 more inches. We will see once tires are on. Rear will be a jeep grand cherokee spring which gives me 6 inches and a spacer for 2 more. A friend had done this numerous times and says it works great. I am trying it, if it doesn't work oh well. I paid next to nothing for the tracker.

Greg. Have you ever been to the Burketon Pits. They are off durham rd 57 up by mosport. Don't know if you know the area. That is where I have spent most of my wheeling days. It has a little of everything. Mud holes, sand, trails, sand, wash outs, hills and did I mention sand. Any ways just want to explore new areas. I also heard it is good up minden way. I also want to tackle Greens mountain by Gooderham. Lots of rocks and mud. ttyl

Well I've said it before, but here goes again.  GTA Zuki/Trackick club...any takers?

Let's organize a little run for the spring with everybody from the board in the GTA.  Ganaraska is the place for sure if you want East of T.O.

In the mean time ARMOUR if you are interested Bus_Driver and I get together and wheel about once a month so send me a PM with your contact info and we can let you know.

We are from T.O. also.

Thanks for the interest but the weather was worse than anybody thought it would be.  I had some large branches fall on my house so I was also busy trying not to fall of the roof instead of wheeling...maybe this week will be better.
