Reiter cleanup, and wheeling
« on: May 03, 2009, 09:59:39 PM »
I went to Reiter Pit cleanup (Washington) with Drone 637 today.  They had a a lot of wheelers and bikers show up to clean the trails and camping areas of trash left behind, and served up some good hamburgers for those helping out.  After lunch we hit the trails with some new and old friends.
During our search for trash we tooka  chute down, and I found that a rock is harder than my door.

Notice the ps door is intact, which it wasn't when I got to the bottom

Drone 637 limbering up his new 4 link rear suspension.

Which he needed to get through here.

Then I proceeded to break a front diff mount and CV.  I managed to wedge the front of my rear diff on a big rock, my rear bumper on a tree, and ds front tire up against another rock.  Took a winch and snatch block from the side to get me off the rock  Nylon tie-down strap works to hold up ds front diff, and I limp out to road in 2 wheel drive.

It was a good run (for a while), weather held on the bright side, and my tracker wasn't doing bad on 30" tires.
