Help with shock selection
« on: July 11, 2008, 03:40:50 PM »
I'm new to all this so please bare with me...  I'm installing shackles that are 4 1/2" longer than stock so from my understanding I should be getting a little over 2" inches of lift.  I'm trying to find what shocks people are using without going to the high dollar customs.  Any help would be appreciated…

Thanks,
George

I suppose it would help if I mentioned that it's an 87’ Samaria.

You might want to avoid shackles that tall over stock.  A set of 1.5" lift springs might be a better setup.

As for the shocks, the easiest way to get them is measure the flex after you install the lift.  Then head down to your local parts store and borrow their shock book.  You can find a pair to match.
