However, if you installed RUF springs in the original spring hanger hole, you did effectively move your springs forward 1". ;)

I know that I couldn't run my 32" MT Pro Comps on 15x8, 2.5" backspaced rims on a stock SPOA rig without severe tire rub in the rear of the fenderwells-even after some BFH work.  So, I moved the axle forward 1" and it works mucho better.  I have a little rub in the front of the fender well at full stuff (I do run bumpstops), but it's not bad at all.

Besides, moving the front axle forward 3/4" or 1" is super easy.  Especially with the Sky Axle pads.

Re the Calmini 3.5 inch lift,I did basically the same thing but used the OME springs with the SR instead. I put on Cheapo Gabriel shocks and did use the drop pitman. Calmini has a rep for stiff springs and I'll bet their shocks are too. I have 235 tires on it(29") and had to address the backspace issue because of tire rub on full turns. If I hit hard I can rub the back of the wheel well on full stuff. But doesn't happen that often and I flattened the pinch weld inside the wheel well so nothing gets hurt.

I would ditch the Calmini SR and just run the OME springs.  They will give you enough lift for 235s and you will not have the rub issues.  The problem with the SR is that is pushes your tires back into the wheel well.

FYI, I ran the OME spring SPUA with 30" ATs/15x7 rims for many years.  I only had tire rub at max flex, although I did not ever extend the bumpstops.
