So, I guess that means you've never been to Summertown huh. You really should check it out. Maybe I'll see you on the trail sometime this summer.

Have not been there before. WHen it first opened I heard rumors that it was mostly mud boggs for huge trucks and not much wheeling besides that. Since I git back form FL I have not looked into it. The pics form Woolys looks good.. and not to far  Cool Thanks for the link.

I will try to find some for you. It may take a day or two (slammed at work getting a deadline out). If I have not posted by this weekend, PM me and remind me to.

LINKS!   Wink

I've re-read this, and maybe I missed it, but what's the diff gearing? And is that a 2.5 or 2.7L? Is the GRP Auto 4:1 tcase a Sidekick style case, or a Samurai case behind your trans? I'm tying to get 35/37" tires under a 2-door, and just trying to get ideas...

Hey, I knew I would forget (still working 7 days a week, damn high profiled build jobs, even the media is on this one  Tongue ) I'll try to get some up in a sec.

I'm running 5.37 gears in teh Toy axles, 2.5L GV motor and the 4:1 is an Australiam built Sidekick (Vitara for them) case gear set like the Trail Tough and Calmini gears. With the Auto, 5.37's and 4:1 it is geared just about perfect for my 37's.

Glad to hear someone's still working in this economy. Thanks for the info & pics. I may go the V6 route. Sounds better than making the 1.6L to work nice with 35/37" tires via a samurai t-case & tracker "doubler"... I'm going to be doing sand / desert stuff, so that extra power will come in handy.

I'm glad to have a good job with a great company even if I do have to work insane hours right now. We got a HUGE  package design form the State with the condition on it that we will produce a product in 3 months(job would typically take 1-1.5 years) to get a big plant brought to Tennessee.  Wink Keeping me busy and helping 4000-5000 people have a job starting this summer, it's worth it  Wink

You would have plenty of power for the sand. This thing will crawl all day and run 85 down the interstate on the way home. My 8V with the 33's could run all day but was weak on the road and accelerating in high range. I have not hesitated when pulling out in traffic, passing rides on the interstate whatever. I'm planning a ride on my first weekend off up to the Badlands and will give you a sand update after that.
