Does anyone know where I can get engine specs like valve sizes, cam lift, crank stroke, ect? I checked out the Reynolds Machine link and they sell parts but they dont list valve sizes or cam specs. Also has anyone checked on offset grinding the crank for some added stroke? Alot of engines have a bunch of piston top to deck clearance.

I don't know, but I would bet that Hawk could hook you up with a good sorce of info.

bore 75mm
stroke 90mm
A little short in stroke I think but close.
I don't know what the valve Dia is
but they have 6.9mm stems
I have a burnt exhaust valve
it's 32mm across the top, but I'm
not sure where they measure the
dia at :P, Intake valves are larger
sorry I don't have any of these.
The cam I have has been re-ground
and I don't even know the spec but
it's around .400 lift like .423 or some
oddball # like that, it is the mild grind
from Engle Cams in Santa Monica Ca.
and looks like a Pinto cam in lobe design.
If you could bore the block 3mm and stroke
to 94mm (a 2mm Change gives double)
you would have an 1.8L (1796cc)
MMMMM........1.8 Liters of pure raw power......LOL
Ya it's been a dream of mine, stroker 1.6L Kit
for big torque power increase.

Theres a guy in the UK that builds the 1.6L engine bored and stroked to around 1750cc. I'll try and find out how he does it next time I see him.

Well with the extra bore and stroke , Ill also go for a bit more compression, ported intake/ported,polished exhaust runners, larger valves and more cam. I dont mind running premium gas if I get more power from these mods. Sometimes you can find valves for other engines with the same stem diameter and cut them down to whatever you want.
I emailed Hawk and very little email help.

Yeah I kindof got that feeling.. ;)

If you got the Bucks, any good engine machine
shop can do what you want, bigger valves, retrofit
bigger seats and fun stuff like that, you could go
and order parts from them too, most will be glad
to and install them as well.
If I could have found a good source for pistons I
would have bored out the block for more CCs.
Stroker cranks are fun too, a little welding and
regrinding, woohoo CCs here we come. Get a
little shorter piston so it don't pop out of the
block too far and your set.

Ive built a few Chevy and Ford motors so Ive got a good idea on what to do but how far I can go with a Geo block, crank and rods Ive got no clue. Ill have to call Hawk to get some info.
I converted your metric into standard and got a 2.952" bore, 3.54" stroke. A .060 overbore would put it at 76.4mm so I would say that is max. I guess Ill have to buy a junk crank to see how much I can offset grind it to get some stroke out of it. Piston tops can be milled some if it sticks out of the hole too far.

You might be able to use the rod's from a 1.3 if they are shorter and have the same Jernal size (I don't like grinding on pistons) or some other jap. engine!

A stroked motor is a happy motor........
listen to it purrr.........
Anyway, stroking is a better way to make
torque and gain CCs, 1mm Stroke is 2mm
increase, you get one on the top and one
on the bottom of the stroke, so very small
changes in stroke can make lots of CCs.
example
75 bore stock stroke is 1596 CC
75 bore and 1mm increase stroke is 1625 CC
75 bore and 3mm increase stroke is 1696 CC
thats 100 CC by moving the piston a little more
than 1/8" farther top and bottom, not to mention
the increase in torque; think of the crankshaft
throw as a lever, the longer the lever the greater
the torque with less cylinder pressure, less strain
on the engine to do the same work. and happier
zook drivers offroad.
