Another Weekend of Wheeling.
« on: April 23, 2006, 10:05:18 PM »
Funny how I had no real plans to wheel this weekend and yet i got to go 3 times in 4 days. Twice with my tracker and once with my wifes 2wd, yes 2wd, Kick. On thursday my wife and I wheeled in the dunes. I never saw them so empty. No one was there. It was kind-of cool. Here is a picture and a link to a few more pics.

On Saturday I was asked by a friend to guide him and his cousins to some trails so they could play in their lifted, locked and swampered Toys. I thought I would just keep my rig clean. Ya right. This is how it came home. More pics at the link below.

On Sunday I was asked to guide some other friends to some other trails. This time we took my wifes 2wd Kick because I just spent 10 bucks at the car wash cleaning mine and if I took hers i would have the good sense not to play rough. Ya right again. Here is a shot of Chai in his repainted (pink) tracker launching off a little hill after I did the same thing in my wifes' while she was screaming in my ear. More pics at the link below.

Long story on the bumper but to make it short I was stupid and forgot to put the 4 main bolts in that hold it to the frame. All i had in it were the 4 little 8mm bolts that locate it. I got stuck in some deep clay and the big red toy hooked to my bumper to pull me out. Needless to say those 4 little bolts cant hold back a double locked toyota with 38" boggers.  :-[  :-[  :-[

It is an easy fix but I'm still mad at myself for not getting those bolts on it before going wheeling.  ::) At least they thought it was funny.  :'(
