I saw the Calmini idler arm brace for the Sidekick and I'm putting on some 235/75's. I was wondering if the brace is meant for bigger tires like 32's and such or if I need it for these as well. Thanks

That completely depends on your driving. It really depends more on the angle of the tie rods created by a suspension lift.

It depends a lot on what kind of terrain do you wheel, around here we do mostly mud and dirt and almost no rocks...I would say that for that kind of wheeling you can go with 32 with the stock idler arm just fine, since we are not having trouble so far.

   You shouldn't need it for 235/75/15 tires. 

Dont laugh, but I bent one just driving in a parking lot  , it was the first snow of the winter(a very exciting time for me), and I was "playing" ; I slid sideways into a curb hitting it with my front wheel(215-75's  ). It twisted the idler towards the frame a little, I straightened it with a big bar.  After seeing the Calmini brace I wondered if it would have caused more/different damage, or if it would have saved it..... I'm eventually going to be getting the beefy idler from Sky Manufacturing, then I'll add the Calmini brace.

Hey I forgot about that artical! This did work flawlessly for me. I also found that a lot of people dont know that their Idler is bent. People who complain about thier alignment changing everytime they go wheeling, this is the #1 cause. Even the slightest bend in the Idler and you allignment is severely altered. This is a mod I would recomend for any road driven Trackick.

Kinda funny, every sidekick I've driven, and any that my friends own all drive straight with a slightly crooked wheel 

I'm glad i read this post.  I feel enlightened now.  Does Sky still make that piece?  I'd use it even without the calmini bit.
