Diffs- r-diff spacer & fr-diff pinion mount
« on: June 12, 2004, 01:24:13 AM »
I've been researching LSD's and see lots of associated comments about strengthening the front diff pinion, and spacing down the rear diff mount, post body lift.

Does anyone market these parts as they all seem to be individually manufactured

You can replace the stock Aluminum with a steel peice from a V-6 Vatara or from the XL-7. Your carrier will bolt right in and it will give you the x-tra srtength of the steel. Check out the Zig's Beef article in the Article Archives (it's the Article from Brentwood, TN.

I was putting the XL-7 3rd in an Anvil, but it will work with a  stock housing.

I just bought a steel V6 front axle and am going to make a lowering block for the upper rear diff mount. Its the suspension lift that causes the problem. All the suspension is fixed to the chassis so its unaffected by the body lift, except that you can see it all so much easier ;D The suspension is going to get a few tweaks too to improve articulation, I'll let you know how I get on. I'm in a rush now to finish it before Beaulieu
