Now I dont exactly remember what was happening here. I think maybe Scott's Samurai was to timid to come down the hill and my lil pink tracker had to pull him down the hill... or maybe I poked a hole in my sidewall and Scott was nice enough to pull me up the hill and I showed the guys the kinda flex a stock tracker has and we changed the tire without a jack. this is also where I showed the guys my jack and I don't know if they called it a scissor, sissy or city jack. what ever the case... we didn't use it

... and this is my little girl. With a new color scheme.
After a day of wheelin my wife has informed me that we will not be returning to the woods until I have the proper tires.  :o (She says I have to spend at least $300). And a lift. I feel bad because I had an awsome time just the way it is. I had a blast hanging with a group of guys with tricked out rigs... but man, the fun in a stock rig... admittedly I needed a tug a couple times - mostly getting center hung. Adding all the equipment will just take the fun out of it? No?

AWESOME!!!!! Sounds like you have a good lady there  8)

Wheeling in a stocker is fun. But definately get you some tires made for it. Those pinched sidewalls can get expensive.

Looks like a great time.

Yeah, she's a keeper. She even commented that next time she will take more pictures of everyone else to be posted on the web. That flat was from a branch sticking out on a log laying on the ground. I kept my tire pressure up in part because 215/75/15 are not excatly the tallest tire out there. I needed every bit of height I could get.

Glad you guys had fun!  It was a wet, muddy that is for sure!  Spending at least $300 should be pretty easy  8).

Maybe I can find a cheap set of wheels for $100, and a locker for $200?  would I want a locker for thefront - that way when 4x4 is disengaged so is the locker?  or locker for the rear ... because I don't know why.  I def understand locker on both ends might be best .... but I REALLY don't think I canhave both for $200, let alone one ... but I can dream right?

I would start with a locker in the rear.  You get used to the street manners pretty quickly.  The rear end is less likely to break, and it is fun to goof around in 2 wheel drive with the rear locked.  That is my 2 cents.

just adding a rear locker (or spool, 100 bux) will blow your mind in added capability and keep it steering/driving good. if you think about it...its not just a 100% traction gain because with a open diff the tire that gets power is the one you don't need!(jack one rear tire up off the ground and try to drive off, cant)add a locker/spool and viola' off the jack the Lil pink rig comes! I would guess the improvement is more like 400% ;)

then keep them stock wheels, throw some 30X9.50's on em' and a 2" spacer lift you will be amazed!

That flat was from a branch sticking out on a log laying on the ground.

I did that once.  Was around 20 feet into the trail, the first corner.  BOOOOOSH, no more tire.  Then there was a time I cut a 6" gash bouncing up rutted hill.  Then the Fall Adventure Challenge where I put a hole in both rear tires...

Now I refuse to buy Open Country MTR's.  Thick sidewalls only.  :D
