Rear Trackick crossmember
« on: July 18, 2005, 11:36:09 AM »
Got couple of questions relating to the rear crossmember. Can be seen with the bumper cover off. What is that square block thing in the middle? Does it perform a duty? Could it be used for a hitch mount? Attachment?

That's where they attached the stock bumper underneath in the middle, but other than that, I don't know what other purpose it serves...
Had a cool sig pic till I changed the text... sigh...

Do a search for tank lift, SiKiD replaces his with a hitch Rx built in, he did an excellent job, and it looks very strong.

I've seen Sikid's work and that's the member I'm talking about. So I guess that little block is functional for the bumper and the cover?

Just it appears to be awkward there in the middle. Would make a pretty cool hidden hitch mount, though.

better late than never:

the two other pics i took from the bottom didn't come out but you get the idea.  it goes all the way back to the next crossmember.
