Trackick custom body work ideas
« on: November 22, 2005, 07:48:45 PM »
I recently shot some pictues of my 4 door Tracker with it's new lift.

Here is my rig. When I was preparing the picture for posting on my website I decided to play around with some different looks. Has any one done any of these yet? I like the "long bed" one.  ;)

The long bed looks cool, but the panel van would be easier to achieve in the shop.

Digger is building something in between the long bed and the extra cab. If you would build the long bed there wouldn't be enough room if you're tall.
Nice pics btw  ;D

Always kind of liked the look of the Mitsubishi Pajero EVO Dakar. Wonder what a lwb Kick would look like with that sort of back end?

OK,

How's this for creativity?

Pull the body off the frame completely, STRETCH the frame and driveline an extra 2 feet or so, and turn it into a crew cab pickup  8)

You could go into the variable-hardtop business.  Have 1 that makes it look like the 2 door with a bed, another like a real 4-door, 1 more like the pajero dakar vehicle, then a last one like the extended cab option.

That's some neat photochopping.  I like the snow, leaves and trees added to fill the voids.

This is my favorite:

For some reason, it looks even more like a 50's style panel truck than you would expect. Are you going to put these projects into reality?

I don't know for sure. I am really liking my 4 door. But, I can't leave anything stock so I guess I am just thinking outloud my different ideas and getting feedback. BTW, I can't wait 'til my ShrockWorks bumper gets here. Also I am almost done designing the custom HD rear bumper.

Now my wife wants one instead of her van (Astro with a 4" lift and 30x9.50s) and I think I will do her's as a Rally type rig. Mild lift, aluminum mags, 29" AT tires, etc. Collecting ideas on that too.

I meant a  stretched frame so you would end up with a fairly usable pickup bed in the back of it. You know, something you could move furniture etc.. with

If you're going to do a full length pickup then what about a Nissan Dakar pickup just for fun.  ;D
