I was plesantly suprised Today while surfing the Internet at how much Turbos have come down in price ! It has been a long time (early 90's) from when I was working on my (from scratch) Turbo  setup on my other "Play Toy"....... Anyway.....I was wondering if anyone could tell me right off hand what Compressor Housings I would need in order to start boost at around 1,000 to 1,200 rpm ( I know the "Trim" of the Impeller would really dictate this). This engine will not see over 4,500 rpm because I don't drive like that anymore and want this to be a "Grunt" motor (or at least as much as a 1.3 can be) and a daily driver. I can control "Overboost" with my waist gate but don't want to over spool the Turbo. Any thoughts on this? I only know just enough to get my self into trouble on this one....By the way....what is the compression ratio of a stock '87 Samurai 1.3?

I have a T-2 i'm going to put on my 16v. it has a small housing so it will spool fast!
i'm really looking to increase the power in the lower rpm range, ie, 1500-2000.
I was thinking of putting in a little bigger injector. some input would be greatly appreciated<
thanks

You want to be careful about putting too small of a turbo on.  Yeah, it might be super peppy in the lower RPMs but will choke the engine in the high RPMs because the exhaust will be too restricted by the turbo.  Just my $0.02.
