I'm sitting staged 1.5 miles from the airport in an overpriced Hampton Inn just waiting for my 5 am wake up call. It wont be long till I leave 65-85 degree weather for the cool weather of the NW. Only a few hours left and I will be enjoying the best beer ever with some of the best friends ever, Eric and Greg  Cool

See Ya soon,

Found a loose redneck shopping at the Woodburn outlet mall today. He was buying a Eddie bauer sweater and Bolle sunglasses. I decided that he could go on our trip with us.

Back!  Got home about 4:15 this morning, waited about 20 minutes for the Red Bull to work it's way out of the system, then crashed hard.  Great trip, the dunes were a blast.  It was fun meeting everyone.  Smiley

Did Zig's rig make it out ok?

I am sure they did. Eric towed him over the pass as it was loading up with the cold weather but otherwise fine. Dave and I took off ahead after we got down to the junction. Then Dave started having carb issues too. I think it may have been icing up but not sure. Anyway we got it cleared out and kept going.
How did you guys like that wind coming up the valley at Detroit lake? Crazy huh? I got in front of Dave to try and break the wind a little. I got home about midnight and also crashed hard(after a good shower of course). Had a absolute blast. Great to meet Chris and Glen, the snow was fun, weather was perfect, and the dunes were great! Anyway, here are some of my favorite shots.

What a weekend, an adventure was advertised and an adventure was delivered.

Was great to meet thoes I hadent met yet, and to see familure faces.

I don't get to go wheelin very often and am not as experianced as most, so I really experianced & learned alot this weekend. The winter storm had to be the icing on the cake! (sorry, I prayed for snow, wish all my prayers got answered with that intencity). Got home about Midnight, to bed after 1:00 am, 5:30 came damn early this morning. Iam going to bed now... Night Night!

Don't know how to post pics here yet, would love to post a few. How does it work?

 Thanks Eric & Sara!

Hey everyone. Eric and I made it home fine. Even after crossing the pass I still had some problems with the carb, but after a few trial and error attempts at a quick fix, we found out all that was needed is to shut the Sammie down and let the comp reset when it started loading up. I have no idea how that fixed the freezing up thing but it allowed enough adjustment to make it anpther 5-10 miles each time untill we got off the mountain. I have no idea what time we made it back to Erics, but 7 am came REAL quick and I juat now got checked into the Residence Inn Orlando and getting ready for my classes tomorrow.

I had a great time. It was awesome meeting all of you that I have not met before and I'm counting the days to my next trip out west.

I'll try to post my pics of the adventure tomorrow after I return form my training classes.

Thanks Eric and Sarah. Once again you'll were awesome hosts and gave us all a great adventure.

Thanks so much Eric & Sara for a wonderful trip!  It was amazing.  I've never been so cold in my life, but it was such a blast!  Grin

That snow/wind storm was amazing to drive home in.  We got back around 11pm.  Both Greggy-P and I were half asleep by the time we reached salem.  Shocked

Anyway, it was great to camp and wheel with all you guys!  I will have my Sami there on the next trip!

I'll try to post some pics asap.

ps - Zig, it was nice to finally meet you!  Glad you made it back safe... See you next time!
