ZUKIWORLD's Adventure Series Finale LaPine to Christmas Valley November 12-14th, '04
This event is for the Adventurer that is not afraid of cold temperature and the possibility of snow. There will be many geologic features to see ending at Christmas Valley. A huge very unpopulated recreational dunes area. This adventure may feature an informal talk from a Western Oregon University Geology expert. Plus lots of sand-spitting, axle-twisting, throttling action as we traverse the wide open and dramatic dunes in Christmas Valley.
Avoiding as much of the paved road as possible we will meet in LaPine Oregon on Friday head towards the Cabin Lake camp ground where we will stay the first night. We will wake to an undoubtedly brisk morning where we will make our way to Ft. Rock. Next will be some spelunking opportunity at Derrick Cave. Then, it is off to Crack in the Ground. Finally, we will arrive at Christmas Valley and will make camp for Saturday Evening. Sunday Morning will greet us well as we throttle our way around the dunes, frolicking to and frau. Then, we will pack up and head North towards HWY. 20 and Bend. The group will then head there separate ways toward home late Sunday Afternoon.
Using a tow rig is not recommended. We will not be backtracking to LaPine as a group nor will we be return to a centralized location every evening. Pack your Zuki with what you need and come on along!
