I don't think I am going to make it  :'(.

My truck won't come together fast enough.  :) I'll either be buying front and rear toy axles at the end of this month, or, I'll be buying the front axle, and a replacement engine. We'll see.

Even if I get both axles, it's not like I'll be able to get on teh road right away.. I'll still have to cough up steering.

:P

No, sold that one for what I bought it for. Too much work - would have had to rebuild the engine or replace the engine in it. Didn't want all that work on top of what we were going to do to my truck.

ZUKIWORLD's Adventure Series Finale LaPine to Christmas Valley November 12-14th, '04
This event is for the Adventurer that is not afraid of cold temperature and the possibility of snow. There will be many geologic features to see ending at Christmas Valley. A huge very unpopulated recreational dunes area. This adventure may feature an informal talk from a Western Oregon University Geology expert. Plus lots of sand-spitting, axle-twisting, throttling action as we traverse the wide open and dramatic dunes in Christmas Valley.
Avoiding as much of the paved road as possible we will meet in LaPine Oregon on Friday head towards the Cabin Lake camp ground where we will stay the first night. We will wake to an undoubtedly brisk morning where we will make our way to Ft. Rock. Next will be some spelunking opportunity at Derrick Cave. Then, it is off to Crack in the Ground. Finally, we will arrive at Christmas Valley and will make camp for Saturday Evening. Sunday Morning will greet us well as we throttle our way around the dunes, frolicking to and frau. Then, we will pack up and head North towards HWY. 20 and Bend. The group will then head there separate ways toward home late Sunday Afternoon.

Using a tow rig is not recommended. We will not be backtracking to LaPine as a group nor will we be return to a centralized location every evening. Pack your Zuki with what you need and come on along!

When will it happen ?
ZUKIWORLD's LaPine Adventure is set for November 12-14, 2004
Where will it happen ?
Central Oregon
Can I come ?
Yes, everyone owning and operating a Suzuki 4x4 (and their family) are invited. Special exception for Mid-Valley Crawlers.
What do I have to do ?
ZUKIWORLD's LaPine Adventure participants need to do two things:
1. Send an email to ebewley|removethispart|@zukiworld.com or leave a message at (541)520-3871 which gets your name down on the list.

2. Show up at the Chevron / A&W in LaPine on HWY 97 at 12:00 PM. Friday the 12th. We will depart at 1:30 PM Sharp.

Who is paying for it ?
There are no fees associated with this un-official event. As always, every participant is responsible and liable for themselves.
Camping, Eating, Gas, etc ?
This event is an adventure. We will be camping on the the trail out of our vehicles, eating on the trail by cooking what we brought, and keeping warm by a fire. It will be very primitive and rough. Participants should expect freezing temperatures at night and the possibility of snow. Do not come on this adventure if:
You can't stand to be dirty, cold, lost, and/or hungry.
Your vehicle can not carry you at least 200 miles on a tank of gas and/or you can not stand to be in your vehicle for 200 miles straight.
All meals will be your responsibility. You will also need enough gas to run your vehicle at least 200 miles.

What else should I bring ?
You should bring everything you would need for 4 wheeling anywhere in the country. Bring your adventuresome spirit and sense of humor.
ITINERARY:

Friday, November 12th 12:00 PM Meet at the LaPine Chevron/A&W on HWY 97. We will leave at 1:00 PM Sharp. Please do not be late.
Late Afternoon Arrive at the Cabin Lake Camp Ground. We will set up camp and for those that want to, we'll do some exploring of that general area.
