Nation Wide Off Roader's Day?
« on: April 01, 2011, 07:03:06 AM »
I know this maybe early to ask;
But In my job field, I sometimes have to plan well ahead for "Wheel'n Weekends"

Last year in May,

On some of the 4x4 sites;
There was a "Nation Wide....DRIVE WITH YOUR TOP OFF" weekend to raise money for Breast Cancer!
It was also to get 4x4 owners, & Off Road Clubs, out of "The Cabin" for the 1st Spring Outing and
all the benieits of a fund raiser......Good Will, Attracting more members, Trail Awareness!

Anyone know if this is happening again this year? And is any club in Wisconsin sponsoring a meeting point?

I think its a HOOT of an idea for us "ALL" (Jeep owners,too) to meet for a good cause.

 Don't know about elsewhere, but down here in Kentucky, we have a MONSTER run every year on Memorial Day weekend that draws people from just about everywhere in the U.S. It is usually 4 days of 'wheeling.  :laugh:

Maybe it wasn't that big of a event last year, Nation Wide, there were a few groups that ran it in Wisconsin last year.

Just an Idea for your "Rusty Iron Buddies".......
In my rural "Small Towns" area, we got 4 of us together and ran out to Devil's Elbow on the Wisconsin River, and ran some of the "Sand Trap" county Roads in that area. (May is still early Spring Here, some good "Swapper Holes")
Anyway, As we were not an "Oleo-ffical" run; so our commitment for a contribution to the Breast Cancer Fund........
 We ran a "Tab" at all "Re-Hydration" Stops, at the last "Re-Hydration" stop, all "Tabs" were totaled, This grand total is the amount we contributed.. split by 8 (Drivers & Spotters)!!!

Again, just a simple Idea to get the "Bunch" together to GO WHEEL'N.

Happy Trails,

really a neat idea with the contribution idea. and any excuse to wheel is good by me and for a cause is even better, now that I think about it maybe I can talk the wife in to going topless for the "cure" ;)

Had a HOOT,
Did see some other rigs running around Tomahawk, Wisconsin, The weather was perfect.
Hit the trails in the Harrison Hills (Swamps) area. Did see (TOO) many ATV's running the trails.
Stopped at Nutzies for lunch, rehydrated at the Clover Bar & the Rodeo, had dinner at Billy Bobs.
