Sullivan Lake Wa
« on: June 10, 2009, 08:18:12 AM »
Flat towed the samurai for the first time to go camping at Sullivan Lake for a few days,  It's always nice camping in the Spring, few people We had the campground to our selves. After we got the camp up and running we went exploring Sunday there lots of FSR in this area to travel didn't go to far because it started raining plus it was time for dinner. right before dinner it started raining hard so we ate under a trap shelter then went and watched a move in the Van  ;D

Monday morning the weather cleared up a bit so we made breakfest and got read to go see the third largest lime stone cave in washington, after a short drive thought Metaline Falls and made our way to the Gardner Cave, All I can say about the cave WOW. We missed the 12:00 tour so We had some time to kill so we hiked to Canada but didn't cross the boarder because that would be bad

the boarder is well a straight line in the woods

and the cave

I'll post a link the the rest of the pic later

to be continued

On the way back to camp we ran into Bullwinkle

lake pic

Tuesday
the weather was really clear but a bit cold the plan for the day was to drive up to a ceder Forest and big medowe called Gypsy Medowes but we came across a rock in the road

we knew the rock was here we just had to see first hand
what a sight it would have been cool to see this fall (from a distance)

so we  back tracked to try to drive the FSR to Priest Lave Id, it would have been a 40 mil drive so about 2 hrs each way but it was to cold with no top or doors so we drove about 12 miles up (4500 ft in elevation) tried to take some pic of the views but the camera died

well that was the trip

It is bad to cross the border, but if you do there are picnic tables for you to use.  Just in case.  :D

yeah it was weird we had to go around the sign to see what it said, the sign faces the us, there was no sign that said you couldn't go to Canada
