Rausch Creek ORV Park (Review)

I think this is where the critics corner is on trails !!

Had a HOOT at Rausch Creek ORV Park. Temont, Penn. You can find their site at www.rc4x4.org
Now 1st, this is a private venture and it costs you an annual membership of $15.00,
then it is $35.00 per day and another $10.00 for the trails on the other side of Molleystown Rd.

The trails are graded for you in 5 increments; green to red.
THIS IS AN ORV PARK!!............Green is NOT a tourist ride in the woods,
as a member of the group I joined discovered in a bone stock 2011 Nissan Pathfinder.
He was carrying broke off parts back home !!!

The trails are fairly well marked and have ALL THE FUN INGREDIENTS to test you & your rig.
Primitive Camping is free, but you must call ahead to make a reservation.
Staff were very friendly and helpful for a "Displaced Yooper" 1st time visitor.

Only things I can complain about;  they need a BETTER sign (any sign, none there) where to turn off Hwy 209
as it is not marked Molleystown Rd. there (Its Joilet St. for 1 block & Main St.the other Block)

And there is no running water. .....NONE...... bring it with you !!!
I drained the ice water out of my cooler !!!

Glad you had a good time there. Been up there a few times and mostly enjoyed it. Yeah, gotta bring pretty much EVERYTHING you want to eat or drink. How long are you going to be in the area? May be able to catch up with you one of these weekends.
The usual stuff, and 2nd generation Air to liquid intercooled TURBOCHARGER

As for right now, I am to be out here in the Mansfield, PA area until early November.
We only get Sundays off......If they don't go to 7-12's !!!
The next time I would think of going to Rausch Creek is Labor day weekend as we would again have 2 days off.
It takes about 3 1/2 hours using the four lane highways one way from here.

If you know some closer places, let me know so I can plan (do my laundry, etc) in advance.

Thanks CAPT
