Royal Blue trip
« on: July 27, 2009, 09:42:18 AM »
We checked out the Royal Blue WMA area in east TN this past weekend.  It was our first time riding there.  For the most part it is easy, scenic trail riding.  We finally found a couple of gulleys to play in and a few spots around the Sandmine area were fun.  Though I never got hard on it, I still managed to blow another front CV joint and I think my driver side strut is busted too!  I was still able to make the drive out and the 3.5hr drive home though!  Here are a few pics:

Duane didn't break anything but he did add more dents!!  I think the only straight piece on it now is the grill!!!  And yeah, I was telling D about your strut straps over the weekend!!  I may just go that route.  Thanks for blazing that trail!  I'm probably gonna pull the front locker back out of it to stop the CV joint problems for now.  I don't really like the way it drives in mud anyway.  Not sure yet.  Need to get me one of those nifty ARBs huh!

Wow Royal Blue! Been years since I have been there. last time was in a jeep no less. I remember it being pretty fun and for the most part easy unless it rains. If it's wet, some of the climbs are slicker than snot. Very cool to know it is still open. That was like 5 girlfriends ago when I went there! ha ha!
