I live 65 miles from the gates at Loon Lake. That is where most enter the Con. It actually starts in Georgetown but most don't run that part anymore, as it is mostly road now. Although, the geepers still do the whole trial for tradition. What date and time of day do you plan to get there? Are you planning a two day or three day run from Loon to Tahoe? Best to plan three on the trail as it gets busier every year. Plenty of motels in Placerville about 30 mi from the gates. Or camp sites and dry rv sites at Loon. Or free camping on the slickrock just before the gates
I have the white Calmini V6 2dr Vit and I haven't had it on the Con yet. Did ok at Moab 05 but I didn't push it much, just a couple of 4 trails, since I was there with out spare parts. I still don't have spares...need to do that. Or I'll bring the 88 Sam spoa, Petro GRS2, Calmini shackle reverse, Detroit Easylockers, KCs, Cv drive liles, armored up and on 31 / BFG ATs.
