Rubicon July 10-13
« on: February 07, 2005, 04:54:46 AM »
A bunch from our club up here in Canada are heading down during that time. Was wondering if anyone is planning to be there the same time or wants to meet up with us?

Vehicles so far:
4 door sidekick, locked rear on 30's
toyota fully built on 35's
Cherokee locked front and rear on 33's
4runner fully built
a few others as well.

Who's game?  ;D
1991 4 door kick, 2" coil spacers, 30" Coopers, winch, locker, rust, dents, etc.

All the way from Canada for some dirt and rocks. Don't you have any there? ;D

I live 65 miles from the gates at Loon Lake. That is where most enter the Con. It actually starts in Georgetown but most don't run that part anymore, as it is mostly road now. Although, the geepers still do the whole trial for tradition. What date and time of day do you plan to get there? Are you planning a two day or three day run from Loon to Tahoe? Best to plan three on the trail as it gets busier every year. Plenty of motels in Placerville about 30 mi from the gates. Or camp sites and dry rv sites at Loon. Or free camping on the slickrock just before the gates

I have the white Calmini V6 2dr Vit and I haven't had it on the Con yet. Did ok at Moab 05 but I didn't push it much, just a couple of 4 trails, since I was there with out spare parts. I still don't have spares...need to do that. Or I'll bring the 88 Sam spoa, Petro GRS2, Calmini shackle reverse, Detroit Easylockers, KCs, Cv drive liles, armored up and on 31 /  BFG ATs. Bact at me by email... be sure to post here as the run firms up. Looking forward to it... Gary ( just an old guy gone zookin, rednecked up / white hair)

I have been before in 2001. Yes we will be going in Loon Lake way and will be tkaing 3 days. We are leaving here Friday morning (8th) and not pushing it driving down so should be at loon on sunday. start trail mon. morning to avoid most of the weekend traffic.

Should be interesting in a 4 door with 30" tires! Skids plates for sure!

One question what do you take for crapper facilities now that the outhouses are gone?
