Actually I'm in contact with Tom
He told me about the run on the 16th.
I'm doing a run with the JHEEP / 4x4 club in oly that I'm looking at joining that weekend at Evans Creek, given that I can get my Zuki back together. Tore the rear axle apart trying to get a locker in it.

I'm also trying to get to one of the WaZuks meetings if I can stop being on call the weeks of the meetings.

For those about to slam that I'm looking at joining a JEEP club if anyone knows of a zuki club in Olympia WA I would love to know about it otherwise zip it

For those who may need it, here's a general map to the ORV area

It's pretty easy to get to .... find your way to carbonado, follow the hwy for about 12 miles past carbonado (watch for a sign past the 1 lane bridge for a branch to the right) ...

Here's a trail map (printable in landscape mode).
http://www.avalonforest.com/maps/evans.jpg

The plan is to meet at 9am in the lot at the bottom of 311.

here is a little bit bigger map of the same as above,
http://nad27.com/special/4x4/evans/evans.JPG
as the maps they have to pick up at evans will lead a novice wheeler onto a double black diamond ie the 198 trail with out letting you know it.
which my buddy and I did in stock sammy's picture of it on my web site.

evans has it all ...

those pics don't do justice to the difficult areas (i.e. that's a wide clearance area).

the start of 196 requires some careful drivin or your doing 2-3 rolls to the bottom. (and some have been airlifted out becuase of that).

some parts of 198 just imply body damage ...

I consider it a zuk playground (tight, steep, slick/slimy ...)

Student drivers, you know how they are.  ;D

Good run though, lots of fun.  Now I just need to find time to put either power or hydro steering onboard so I can make those corners...

I'll post as soon as I have info on the run in a couple weeks for you.  So far we have one or two Zuk's signed up.  :)

Hey, I almost managed to walk it sideways outta there :) that dang little root needed the shove.

I guess I started getting cocky with the front locker and well ... shoulda just backed out rather than turn around ...

Info on the next run.  We are looking at meeting up on May 7th in Everette at 8:00, which should put us at the trails around 10:00.

We will probably be looking to have some fun, so any Ford Rangers that show up will probably be left behind.  ;D
