Hey bob.  How's the samurai?  Ever get a windshield for it?  I did some work on the tracker since our little trip....even managed to paint it!

Check er out!

 ;D

If I can get it inspected this August, I might be up for a fall trip to the Piney's.  Who wants to be my trail guide?   8)

Oh my god yeah...I love that it's finally one color...It was black/white for like a year and a half!

And I CAN'T WAIT to come out to the pineys again!!   I might be able to come out around October-ish....depends on the job situation really....which is still quite poor.

Oh, and I took the carpet out and hosed it down real good...tore out all that insulation crap and threw it away.  The carpet is actually in pretty decent shape for being almost 20 years old.

So, "Lost in The Pineys Round 2" this fall.  What's it like in october?

Fall there is freakin beautiful. What isn't an evergreen is changing color and the weather is usually really nice, cooler but not cold. Let's definitely do it. I'll be back from my trip out west about the 6th of Oct, so I should be ready soon after that.

I would have loved to have joined you guys on the run but I got a problem that keeps me from driving the zuk.

If it wasn't for this, I would have been all over that ride especially being in South Jersey.
Why is there enough religion to encite hatered and wars, but not enough to enstill tolerance and peace?

I agree, but this economy sucks so bad right now. I'm so poor I can't even afford to pay attention!

I can't believe I missed this!!!  Where were you guys in the Pinelands?  Warton?  Forked River?

Hey Lindenmooch, do you live in Linden, NJ?  I live in Fanwood now but grew up in Linden.  If you ever saw a tan samurai on swampers driving around, that was me.

nah T-saurus, I live in eastern PA.  zip 17851.   And yea, we were in Wharton state forest, blazing down some of the coolest trails I've ever been on.  I had a lot of fun, and I'm really hoping to go again with the same guys that went the first time, plus more maybe......I'll be bringing a 2 wheel drive truck next time though.  The Tracker won't survive another trip.

Ah, oh well.  Was worth a shot.

When are you looking to go?  I'm trying to drag my neighbor out wheeling with his 4runner.  Possibly looking to hit Forked River or Warton.  I'm trying for a day on the weekend after this one (Dec 12th or 13th)  Maybe drive down and camp out the night before. we'll see.  PM me if you and anyone else is game.

I hear ya.  What work do you have to do to your tracker...other than patching some of those gaping holes in the floor?

Bumping this, cuz it has a vid to a roll that I just mentioned in another thread here:

http://www.zukiworld.com/forum/adventure-forum/scariest-most-puckering-moment/

Sorry about your rig SNJSamurai... think I read you fixed it since though?  ???

The reason I mentioned it there is because I've nearly rolled in a similar way & to help others avoid the same:

Heading into a descent with a V wash in the middle, NEVER put your downhill tire at the bottom of the V. Keep it on the near shoulder of the V & straddle the low spot, to keep the rig more level. Hope that helps someone out in the future.

In this case, he had the right front in a low spot, a relatively high rig & his COG was on the RF tire... he hit the rock or bump... & over she went.  :(
