The worst part of it is that the trout fishing associations were one of the major groups trying to get it closed... groups that are fishing trout that are released daily FROM A NURSERY because they can not survive in the area due to over fishing!!!!!!

These are the same groups that would show up with 20-30 people for Tellico clean up days and comment on how impressed they were that Southern Four Wheel Drive Association rounded up 100's of people to do the clean up day. We ALWAYS started by cleaning up the 'public' areas (paved roads, picnic areas etc..) that the fishermen used then went to the trails to clean up, with no fishermen to help....

I'll get off my soap box and shut up, I knew when the did the seasonal closure it was gone forever....

The worst part is they are 'dedicated' to keeping existing trali systems open when all the other trail systems combined don't make up for the shut down of Telico...  :(
