I found these last week and was watching them.  :)  I like how the rear end usually floats higher then the front.   ;D

yea, going that deep in current can be dangerous when the rear floats ... might as well pull the floor plugs and let it fill.

I think the passenger was wishing HE had a snorkle at one point  ;D

Allow me to show my newness to the 4x4 world.  ::)  After an adventure such as this what type of maintenence is necessary? Is there enough internal heat in the engine, tranny, and axles to create pressure and keep the water from leaking into them or do I need to change all the fluids immediately after going swimming?

No matter how much you waterproof things, water will get into your parts.  Engine oil will probably be ok, but I would drain your diffs at the least.

Its a diesel so no problems with the engine electrics. However after a soaking like that I doubt if the rest of the electrics will be particularly reliable. I used to do some fairly deep wading but I got fed up with replacing starter motors, alternators, belts, fans and all sorts of other things. I always pack all the electrical connectors with petroleum jelly which keeps the water out quite well.
