Umm, OK folks... I don't get this.
I have SOME wind issues, but nothing like you're talking about.
This time of year, in the Front Range of Colorado, 60MPH gusts are common. I have Bridgestone Deuller AT's (standard size, 205-75-15's?) on my stock daily driver (4-door Kick), and Goodyear Wrangler MT/R's (31X10.50-15's) on my trail rig (2-door kick).
With 40-60mph cross winds, at 55 MPH, I get a LITTLE jumping around from side to side, but nothing TOO severe. Maybe a foot max. Now with a 40-60mph headwind, I do have issues - like Mike said, down to 3rd gear and 4,000 RPM, but hey, that's something like 50 mph or so, anyway.
I have power steering on the 4-door, and manual with a steering stabilizer on the 2-door.
