Any Megasquirt MSQ files floating around out there?
« on: August 29, 2011, 12:10:19 PM »
Got the sami out on its maiden voyage last night.  Months of work and plenty of peanuts later...  I am just trying to dial in some basic settings.

Currently running 96' 16v 1.6 with MS1 v3.0, COPs w/wasted spark, missing wheel/VR sensor.  Factory injectors.

If you have anything close to this with a MSQ please share.  I think injectors are 175cc. I am not sure what factory timing should be at on various RPM/Loads.  Using Megatune's generator with the factory hp/tq ratings, it puts idle at 20 BTDC and it climbs up pretty steep from there.

water temp and air temp sensor data would save me a lot of time too! TIA

Should be about 8* BTDC, and peak out at about 35*
but the curve is what you really need

How does 95hp |removethispart|@ 4000 and torque at about 135 |removethispart|@ 3000rpm sound?

Also spotted a 2k model saab 2.3 with turbo and intercooler in the bone yard. I like the intercooler bc it enters and exits both on the drivers side. Great for plumbing on the multiport intake.

The HP looks right, the torque looks high for a gasoline engine, I would
say it should be lower, closer to the HP figure, around 100-102, but I
will have to look at the specs

Saab Intercoolers are good units, and in n out on the same side is a +
if you can get it for around $100 do it, especially if you have plans  >:D
