which side? ... I've done plenty, and the LHS is pretty easy.
Here's my procedure ...
1) pull wheels and hubs
2) remove c-clips from the outter ends.
3) undo the 3 bolts connecting the LHS CV to the stub shaft in the diff.
if it's LHS ...
4) crank wheel to far left and mustle out the CV. (it can get tough getting the CV past spring and A-arm, adjusting the steering can help get it free)
if it's the RHS ...
4) unbolt the diff from the 3 hangers and the x member.
5) drop the diff sliding out the inner CV shaft. If you are careful, only minimal diff fluid will leak out.
6) crank the wheel to far right and mustle out the CV. (it can get tough getting the CV past spring and A-arm, adjusting the steering can help get it free)
That's my procedure ... dropping the diff isn't necessarily a requirement, but I've just found it easier than the alternative of getting the knuckle free.
