6" rocky road tracker suspension lift
« on: April 28, 2005, 06:00:14 AM »
Does anyone know anything about the 6" suspension lift (Rockfather 6) that Rocky Roads is currently working on?  I've been watching there website for a while now and don't see any updates.

I have only been into Zuk's for the last 6 months but apparently the Rockfather 6" has been in developement for a couple of years with no change in status.  At least not that they are telling us about.

Yeah, their Track/Kick belly armor was "coming soon" in 2002, when I started building the Gnewt.   ::) :o ;)

Get your grinder and welder out, i dropped the front of the chassis down by 4" and moved the rear spring platforms down by the same amount, +2 springs and there you have it 6" lift and with the my bigger tyres i've got 16" under the chassis rails to the ground. thats 4" more than a land rover 90 with the same tyres  ;D

yeah, i emailed the guys at RRO a couple of weeks ago, and all i got in return was something along the lines of "the design of the rockfather system has changed several times.... ya-dee ya-da... and it takes a lot of time to get something right, and we don't have that kind of time"... if i had to guess, i'd say they gave up on the idea, like calmini's axle thing that i heard about a while back, if i'm not mistaken....
