Cheapest lift
« on: March 20, 2005, 12:03:53 PM »
Ive been looking at different ways to bring the kick higher, just a bit, noting big just an inch would be great. But I cant seem to get enough money for all those expensive body lift and suspension componenents. So I heard about coil spacers........How do coil spacers work and how cheap are they? I already have bigger tires, far from the biggest I can go but more rrom in the fenders would be great.

I have custom 30 mm suspension lift. It is little more than 1".
Drafts of details you can find here and here.
There is russian language comments, but I think you can understand. All is simply. I've payed about $30 to metal turner for all pieces and install it with my own hands.
Now I can install 235x75R15, but I want to put 30". For this tires I must to do body lift 50 mm.

you are correct sir ;D I ran a homemade 2" body lift and some homemade 1 1/2" coil spacers with strutspacers  on the front, 235/75/15 tyres and had a blast with that truck I can get some pics of the parts and the truck if you want but I'm at work now so it would have to be this evening :P

yeah I was wondering that too, when reading zuharies walkthrough it looks like the front spacers are smaller than the rear. And whats this thing about flipping the shocks????? With spacers dont you just inserted the spacer between the coil and top plate and thats it??

I don't believe it's the shock you flip, just the plate on top. Maybe someone has pics to point it out...........
