i have a samurai with 3" liftsprings from calmini and i have terrible flex how much dose a spring over help? and dose removing a leaf hurt anythig major?

I wouldnt remove a leaf, but Spring over is best lift you can do, spring under is just a waste of time in my mind... Spring over, and shock's are the key to lift, problem is to much flex and your springs cant take it...

Have the springs been on there for very long? Sometimes it takes a while for them to break in.

Less leaves = softer suspension. Removing a leaf is a pretty drastic move, if you do do it then make sure that your bump stops are properly lowered. If the spring pack flexes upward beyond flat then you'll probably trash the pack. If you have the clasps on the spring pack than you could try opening them up to allow a little more flex.

spring over is not always the best plan, it depends on what your gonna do with the rig

samaurijones......
have you changed or modifyed the shocks or there mounting locations?
if you still have stock shocks then with the 3" calmini springs they would have no out travel left, so flex would be non-exisistant.

im not worried about shoks at all but the springs have been on for good amount of time and are so stiff my sammy will roll befor i hit bump stops.

Springs get weaker with time, not stiffer. Do you have shocks? Most shocks are designed for vehicles much heaver than a Zuk.

2 months ago I bought BDS's 2 1/2" lift because it was in stock but I was considering the calmini 3" lift as well at the time. I had the same problems, my truck was so stiff that when I left the driveway it would lift a tire. I had to immediately buy a locker because i had less traction with new 30's and a lift than stock with 215 60's

The rear sat 1 1/2" higher than the front so I exchanged the front shocks for longer ones and put 3" longer shackles in the front and now the front is super flexy. The rear is finally starting to soften up a bit since I greased everything and opened up the spring clamps. Spend your money on a locker before anything else, it will force those springs to break in.
