Thats interesting info about ARB shocks being made in Australia by Munroe. My ARB struts are stamped "Made in Spain" so they probably came from the same factory as the OE struts. Its good idea to have a 'sticky' thread like that although I think that that sort of stuff would be better off in the Tech Articles on this site.

if you got your suspension from arb, chances are they are Old Man Emu gear, and genuine OME gear is made in spain, well, at least their struts are. mine are stamped made in spain also.

Yes they are OME, as I understand it OME is really just a brand name of ARB. It makes you wonder though, my Vit was built in Spain and shipped to the UK. The shocks were made (probably in the same factory) in Spain, exported to OME in Aus, shipped to RR in the US and then shipped to me in the UK.

It's not who makes them or where they are made but what specs they are made to that counts. There is this info going around that OME are just rebadged Monroes but this is incorrect. If you have one of each, pull them apart, have a look and then try and say they are the same shock.

Welcome to globalisation, very few products are made totally in house these days-so what. ARB buy from Munroe who undoubtly buy some of thier components from other people but who cares as long as the quality and warranty backup is there.

I don't mean to sound stupid but what language is that? ;D I'd like to use the google translator if they have the translation. There are several posts that start in English but change somewhere in the middle, then I'm lost. :o

Hi TN_Tracker. It's Filipino (or Tagalog)
That's a great idea, using Google's translator. I haven't actually used that (for other websites I don't understand) as I'm too lazy to do the process :P

Try it out, there are also a lot of interesting stuff in the 4x4PH forums :)

hi crawdaddy, i had a look through the 4x4ph, and most of the pics dont work for me. i like to see other rigs from different parts of the world, and also how they are modded and what they're used for.

other than no pics, its a good site. helps to have someone who speaks tagalog too.

Hey SiKiD,
I also have the same problem. It's with the webhosts they use (usually it's www.picsplace.to) that are always down. Check out the Vitara Club of the Philippines forum at the bottom of the forum's index page, we have a thread there that lists the different galleries of the members.

Also one of the more respected groups there is Delta Recon and their PBase gallery is at http://www.pbase.com/deltarecon but these pics are a little outdated as I think PBase limits the webspace they offer...

Also, the other members of the Vitara Club are mostly newbies so don't expect super modded Vits ;D

Barcus (sometimes posts on this board, check his rig on page 2 of the Members Rides thread) is also a member and a friend :)
