We had the same problem.  Stopped running.  Wouldn't start and we had spark  (tested by using the old plyers holding on to the spark plug wire at the cylinder trick (OUCH!  be carefull)).
I then checked the fuel at the rail and we had gas at the rail  (There is a nut on the 16Vs you can loosen up to check, turn over key, if you got gas then it should be working, or so I thought.) ÂÂ
Took it into the dealer and they pressure tested it.  There wasn't enough pressure to run properly.
We had to replace the sending unit in the tank. ÂÂ
Everything then worked fine!
