« on: March 05, 2006, 02:20:03 PM »
hey everyone. i was hoping you could help me out with my gas milage. i have the problem of i am getting no where near the milage i am suposed to. i am getting a little less then 300 km to a tank of gas. someone told me the 93 JX have  a 44L tank. so altogtetehr taht is about 6.8 kilometers to the litre. i'm not shure in miles waht that is. is somoen could tell me it would be great. so am i running it to lean or whats the problem? if its to lean how can i fix it? somone else told me to look on the inside of my tail pipe. he said if its black its running way to lkean. it shoudl be a brown color he said, i looked and mines pitch black. any suggesestons would be appricated. oh and i have changed the spark plugs, the plus wires, the air pilter, and the fuel filter. ??? :'( :-[

Black is rich, not lean.

44L tank is about right for a
2 door Track/Kick

You are getting about 200 miles per
tank, which is on target for an early
Track/Kick, about 20 MPG, I got 23 brand
new with stock rubber, auto trans 3 speed.

235 tires helped a little, but I never got over
23 MPG on my 89' 8V SideKick

our 91 2dr with 4" of lift gets about 250 - 280km's with the 31" tires on it in the summer and about 320km's with the 235 snow tires. so you're about right for gas mileage.
