The vents on the diffs, are they suppose to turn to be free and working? or are they solid?

Either way, how do I get them off to run a snorkle tube for them? Just break the caps off or what? and are there vents on the trans and transfer case? If so where are they? I can't see any. :-/

My Sidekick is vented front up to the top
of the engine, and rear into the body by
the tail light, I don't know where the T-case
vents, but the auto trany has a vent by the
back of the head.
