GOOD OLD ENGLAND

 Well here i am half way through fitting my calmini 3" suspension lift on my lwb vitara and guess what......
It's started pouring down with rain. >:(
i got the rear done friday lunchtime in the sunshine. ;D
so i now have a jacked up rear and no front on at all. :(
How i wish i had a garage ;D

At last i have managed to get the front axle dropped down, cos it stopped raining for half an hour. :o
Still got to swap the springs and wishbones over ::)
Still it will be finished tomorrow what ever the weather throws at me.

Did mine last week in the garage I hire 15 kilometers from home  ;) Those 3" really make a difference in rideheight, when getting out the ground is just that little bit further away ( like being parked on the edge of the sidewalk )



Yes, bumper/pusbar is already painted black, but still in the shed  :P, lights are going in tomorrow.

I'm in the Netherlands by the way, only a NorthSea
away  ;D

hhmmm, I read the quote again and your talking about suspensionraise, mine's the shackle reversal kit, I'm waiting for my IronMan 3"suspension raise to come in from Australia......................well, got my picture on the Forum anyway  8)

Happy Birthday, I was going to ask you how you got on. I started extending my garage today, just got the first lot of boards off the side (shiplap) and down it came. As I had a big hole all the way down the side of the garage I had to keep going. Still it didn't rain all afternoon - there was sleet as well  :(

Well look at the bright side,

At least when you get around to building one you'll know how exactly high the door needs to be cause you've all ready lifted you rig  ;D

Unlike me who now has heaps of room in the garage cause it won't fit under the door   ::)
Hmmm...... wonder weather any one builds lift kits for garages  ;D

Back on topic  - did you take any before and after  pixs ?

this with the 4" suspension on the rear only.

It's the only way to do auto work.

Well i acualy have 2 garages but as they are round the back of the house and i have no rear access. they are about as much use as a chocolate tea pot. ;D
still it's only damp this morning so i'm off outside in a mo to try and get a bit further.

Looks like although we live on different sides of the world we've both spent our day doing the same thing  :o  we've even got the same color rigs - scary   :o only mine looks a little worse with the front suspension, front diff and gearbox all sitting on the bench in the shed awaiting my Calmini parts  :P

You have a TracKick, they have to be accessible  ;)

they are about as much use as a chocolate tea pot.

If a chocolate tea pot is indeed a tea pot made of chocolate; I could get some use out of it  ;D

well the gear is all on.
but......
i got to adjust the angle of the passenger front wheel as it points towards the center of the truck. ::)
my calmini wishbones had been adapted to make the wheel hubs adjustable. so i will have to slacken off the bolts and pull the wheel out a bit.
but thats a job for tomorrow.
