The turbo pre-cleaner is a cleaner not a filter how it works is the air comming in makes the blades spin and the dirt an junk is blowen out the side. The whole thing cost me only 15.00 that was for the pipe (PVC!! NOT ABS!!!) the cleaner I got for free. you could get one at your local tractor shop. How I bent the pipe is just like bending electrical conduit, you slowly heat it up with a small torch then use a 1.5" pipe bender die, bend to shape one bend at a time, cooling each bend before moving on to the next one!. and only heat the pipe area that you need. Like all pipe and tube fabing you need to take your time.
Thanx for all the great coments about my rig!!!
I also have a big CB antana out the back so it looks like a big R/C car, like the ones we had as kids.
a closer look at the pre-cleaner

I have seen the Turbo cleaners on Tuckers - they are also good for keeping blowing snow filling up the filter. You do need a snorkel -- the Sidekicks are surprising in how long you can go with the hood submerged, but last time I went out to Jim Creek I was really concerned about my buddy's 'Kick being under that long. That fender must hold more air than it looks like it would.
