Harley carb ??s
« on: January 02, 2010, 07:50:33 PM »
Is there anyone that has experience with the CV carb? I got mine installed. It just doggs when i hit the gas. Once it hits about 1500 or so it comes ALIVE! I have check the timing a few times. I checked for vaccum leaks. Any more suggestions.

with the engine off, look down the throttle bore and open the throttle,
you should see gas squirting into the throttle bore, I think in only 1 side
on that carb (primary side) unless this is a non secondary type carb then
both sides would get a squirt.

The way to tell is if you open the throttle and both plates open at the
same time, then you have a non secondary carb, but I think it's not

Also the primary side should have a choke flap at the top, open it up to
see down into the throttle bore
