how to fix the throttle opener?

I found the problem on my 1990 geo tracker, the throttle opener isnt functioning properly.... so im assuming ill need to replace the VSV? or somehow find a new throttle opener.... is there a way to fix it????

I always thought the throttle opener was my right foot. Not too easy to replace that. :laugh:

Have you checked the pipes for blockages or leaks? The VSV can be tested by applying 12V and seeing if you can blow through it. You could also bypass the VSV and see if the TO will retract. You should be able to push the TO back, if you can't try some WD40 or similar.
