I would say rear locker 1st,then maybe T-case gears, Then lift and bumpers. Heck with a locker you could do quite a bit in Moab.

Although it will make you want a bigger car.

Good points, & thx for advice. Main reason I want OME is for ride quality not so much the lift. Locker would prolly be next after that though. I'm used to my '78 Bronco with Np420 (granny gear) & Np235, don't know offhand what the overall ratio was, but is was LOW bone stock. So no surprise the trackick seems high in low range to me... the xfer gears would be a good call. Mines the 3spd auto too, so I could go to 5.12 r&p's as well... maybe if I go bigger tires later on. Loved the Bronc, just didn't like the 8-10 mpg.
Was at my brother's today... nieces' friend called it a j**p, I told her "It's NOT a j**p!!"... she called it a j**p again.  >:( Damned teenagers anyhow!!  :P

That is too weird. I had a 78 Bronco with a NP420 and NP235 also. It was my first "wheeler" I put 32" Remington Mud Brutes on it and went to town. I never hit any real trails as I was only 17 and into the Mudding. I got rid of mine to get my 1st sammy years ago. Oh look, here it is!

Looks way better and I'm sure it rides better too.  I'm running the same size but older BFG LTs on my DD 95 16valve 3spd auto.  I've been very happy with them.  Good choice with the OME lift too I think.  If I flex much with my 235's they get into my rear fender but the OME would be enough to clear them and should ride great.  I love the struts on my trail Zuk.

Hehe cool, & yours was the early '78 too, as was mine (split year...round headlights & no cat ftw). I have some pics, but it wasn't pretty, total rustbucket in fact, leaked, smoked... it was an old Ford after all... but it ran & ran & ran & etc... still ran when I sold it early last winter... after 15 years. *sigh* Shoulda kept the high pinion dual shock Dana 44 front & 9" rear, but I wanted it gone so sold it whole...
My 1st ever believe it or not was a '75 Toyota FJ Landcruiser. GG I loved it but it needed tons of work & I sold it instead.  :'(
& Yeah... just looking at your pic of that kick (& your Sammy) makes me want MORE!! "Oooo, FLEXYYYY!!" But alas, not practical for me to go that far... least not just yet...  >:D

Thanks, & yeah rides much nicer, & 'almost' actually feels like it corners!! Imagine that!!
We'll see where it goes from here...

Fuzzy1,

How much did you let it go for?

Those Ford 9"'s are like gold any more.

Yeah, I know, as are the high pinion Dana 44 it had on front, mine even had the dual shock option... & the NP420 & NP235 aren't exactly common anymore... Would that I could have stripped it for those & sent the rest away on a flatbed... but found a guy who had a '79 & he wanted it. Sadly lets just say I near gave it away, but I wanted it gone & at least someone got some use out of it... to me it was just taking up room & rusting away in the yard for the last 2 years... *sigh* So long Bronco  :'(
