does anyone know if the pins from the ecm have the same range/signal as aftermarket gauges?  if not then ill have to run new taps,  i was just thinking that it would save a lot of time and hassle if they worked.

 im looking at autometer if that helps

im in the process of a 2.7L swap and i figured its a good enough time to go to better gauges than "H-C" 

I'm not familiar with the ECM on the 2.7 and I'm not aware of an FSM or schematic on line. I would suspect that it would be much better to add the sensors that come with the gauges. There is a high risk that adding the gauges across the ECU pins or across the stock gauges will alter the electrical characteristics.

negative on the fuel.. You have to get a sending unit to match the autometer. The tach is posable, but I think you would be happier with Mechanical guages instead of electric. I ran the entire Auto-meter ultralite series in my buggy and in the Kimera project

  The tach is the same wire[aftermarket or stock] brown/white stripe[on tracker- sammy i believe and  comes from the - coil in any case [internal on newer efi][double check] the gas tank,oil pressure,volts/amps and water sensor[gauge]-not the cts it is thru ecm are non ecm routed straight to the cluster....The resistance will be different and effect the gauge operation you will need to t off and run the right senders for the gauge supplied with the gauges...
