I am wodneirng how to remove the inside door pannels? mostly in the back because i want to put some 6x9's back there i hope, any help would be great.

do you know what pannles im talkin about?

They are held in place with plastic panel clips. Go to autozone and get a panel tool (you can remove them with a screwdriver but it is much easier with the panel tool. You simpally slide the panel tool between the metal side and the panel, where it grabs on each side of the clip and pry it out. Do this to each clip untill there all poped out.  If you use a screw driver you will probably break a couple or pull them out of the cardboard panel.

I replaced the rear panels this past weekend in my Sidekick with new carpeted half inch press board with my Pioneer 6x9s in the back.  I gotta say it looks mint!

They are not that hard to remove.  I had no problem using my bare hands.  

Well i just installed my new deck about 20 mins ago, i love it but the back speakers sound liek shit and they crackle and shit so i think they are blown, so i am either gonna get some 6x9s or just replace the 4" for now

is it just the speaker blown do you think?

As a primary vehicle, yes, some of us do enjoy interior luxuries

As for rear door panels, forget wasting your money on a tool! I just place my fingers where the seatbelt disappears and give a gentle pull... that's the easiest way! When I first got on this board Heather showed me an awesome way to swap out 'yer crappy 4's for 6x9s:
Just pull off the back panelling and then make a pattern of each one on MDF board and cut out the size of speaker ya got. Sauder the wiring, as its fine even with modern decks and then screw the MDF into the frame (careful! not the body heh!) My rig has 4 6x9s in the back, but I went the easy way after I added two extra speakers. I might add that you can go down to the wreakers and pick up some amazing little 6x9s!!! I pulled some from a few NEONs and a GrandAm. Their rear speakers have a great sound wall that protect them from the rain when the window has broken out of the wreaked car. I've tested everything I've pulled out and everything has worked fine! It's amazing what you can find at the car dump!

I'd say your amp is pushing them lil 4s too hard, as they can't take bass very well. It does sound like their blown if they crackle real bad. Just do what I did man, go down to a steel scrap yard where they have cars and pulls some 6x9s or whatever that haven't been water damaged and pop them in like I described above. Its a nice setup when you carpet the MDF and screen line the cones! If you are worried about time and a little money (mdf and carpet and speakers) just pick up a standard set of 6x9 boxes and extend your wiring from the old 4s and strategically place the boxes for sound! Any questions just post!!

I use the stuff a lot so I'm not sure what the amount would be exactly but let me put it this way: I can buy a 4X8 sheet of MDF for like 20 bucks Canadian. I've built everything from home theatre boxes to amp and rack combos for my guitar speakers. Its all good man! But like I said before, if you want to go cheap and relatively hassle free, go with some pre-made boxes from a shopping outlet. There are cheap little 'ricer' stuff in every store if you know what you're looking for. Hell, I get a lot of junk from Walmart and a surplus auto (junk again) store! If you are thinking of going a little bigger, I've seen some nice setups like tweaters mids and bass drivers (plus amp) all piled into one mdf box that fits snugly in the back of your ride. A little more work but niiice!   I like these setups because you can unplug the cables and remove the box whenever. Some people like to keep interior as much as they can stock (haha my wife!), so doing something like MDFing the rear speaker area is not practical unless you don't care about aesthetics... man I sure can ramble! i think im gonna do the mdf rear side pannels,

for my system i got a kenwood amp and 2 10" boston acoustics subs, they barely fit in the back but i liek em, i think it will look fin with the 6x9's

Sounds much better.  Also, there isn't that annoying rattling sounds with the old card board panels.

Bass response is much better I am pleased with it.  I now want to do the doors, but haven't decided with what to go with...press board or diamond plate.

if u invest in a nice nice set of components for the front and run about 80-90 watts RMS to each side u will not need rears =)..that way u have that space open for crap or a giant sub box

even with my 2 15s hitting over 150DB the fronts can still keep up. i do not miss the rear fill at all


i also reccomend u put some poly fill in behind the 6x9 in the back that will eliminate any rattles u may get.. it will also help to "throw" the sound back into the cabin instead of resonating throughout the body
