i waxed my trac awhile ago and it got on the bumer and a bit of the trim

how do i get the damn white stuff off??? i have scrubed some of it out but some of it is either gunna take a long time to srub or just wont scrub

also if i cant scrub it out can i herculiner my bumpers and side mirrors? =)

they always told me to make sure i did preventative maint lol

I've always heard that ordinary counter top dish soap is good at removing car wax.  Try that.

I've waxed on the trim also, but I leave it...can't be bothered with removing it.  I'm so lazy.  

well when i start to lift my tracker..i wont care but right now it looks like sh*t esp since its....stock sigh

ha thats like mine, still stock but i am getting the material for my lift in the next few days so i wont be complaing about the stock look

they sell wax remover in parts stors for body prep before painting.  looks like paint thinner.  use a q-tip.  but it will take it off the painted surface too so you will have to be careful.  hope that helps.

hey that helps a ton i thought since it wassent coming off that it had stained the plastic bits..although i think when i lift the track i am just going to herc anything that is black =)

How to remove wax from vinyl trim/rubber parts?
The best way to remove wax from vinyl or rubber is to use #39 Heavy Duty Vinyl Cleaner. #39 breaks down the dry wax residue, revealing your vinyl's natural color. If you can't find #39, any all-purpose cleaner (e.g. Simple Green) also will do the job. Agitating the cleaner by gently scrubbing the surface with a soft bristle brush can help break up the wax. Once you have cleaned the vinyl or rubber, bring back the full depth of its natural color and help protect it with #40 Vinyl and Rubber Cleaner/Conditioner.

simple green is safe for the rubber?

i spilled that on my hard wood floor and it stained it green also stank for a few weeks lol..that stuff is evil lol

You're Welcome. That was quick, it took me a couple times to get it all off. Just make sure you put some kind of protectant on it.
