alarm system problem

I have a 95 sidekick.Under the steering wheel is mounted what i believe to be an ignition disabler.was told it was part of the stock alarm system.well sometimes my car does not crank over at all and if you jiggle the removable connector it will start.was wondering if anyone knows about this and if theres a way to disable it.would appericate any help.Thanks.

The removable connector on the alarm or starter? If its at the alarm you should be able to remove all aftermarket wiring by just disconnecting it and I belive you will need to resplice one factory wire back togather. It should be pretty clear what is aftermarket and what is not. If your worried about it take it to a professional.
