I would go with the stock sidegears.  Unless your current ones are trashed.  :)

I used my stock sidegears.  I actually don't know anyone who installed a lockrite that didn't use their stock sidegears.

I would say use your stock sidegears.i just used a mini spool in mine for the rear and used trail tough replacement carrier and lock right set up front.

Stay with your stock side gear, the couplers as they are called that replace the stock gears are notoreuos for bracking.

no, the loc-rite and your axels are weaker than the side gears, the only diffrence I see with them is the tracker side gears have an extra ring around the out side of the theeth part of the stock side gears, (talking about stock sammie v stock side kick gears) the loc-rites will split into four pieces on each side and will not unlock going around corners.

it isn't going to unlock around cornors?  :o

Owell, the guy i getting it from had it in a rear of a tracker and has all the parts to put it in.  Said if it doesn't work he will give me my money back and put the spider gears back in.  So it is worth a try IMO.

Let me see if I can put this so you will understand my meaning, when the loc-rites work they work great, when you abuse the heck out of them for a year or two with big tires and climbing rocky hills when they break they break locked so you can get home with posi, when the expensive arb air lockers break they break open or one legged so it's sometimes hard to get home or back to camp, the locrites will shatter some times but depending on what mfg and what batch it is that they came from, (they are not all alike) even though they look the same, just put it in and have fun beat the crap out of it and tell us when it no longer unlocks on the street so we can tell you you had fun with it.  ;D

If you install them properly and do not abuse them they are fine.

I have run the lockers with side gears for years and had ZERO issues but I know of some real Animals who basically thrash their trucks beyond belief who have killed them - drive like an idiot and you WILL pay.

My advise - if you can't climb it easy then go around it. Use the locker as a traction aid and nothing more. I am growing more and more partial to the benefits of a winch every day - if you do not have one then get one.

Preserve your rig at all costs so you can wheel another day.

It is sooooooooooooooo cool sitting hard up against a rock and feeding in the gas, looking out the side and watching the wheels slowly spinning and then all of a sudden your rig hooks up and over you go - I just love it  ;D
