Its next to the right hand headlight You want to put a jumper on the two leads that are opposite where the clip is

had to bring this one back.
i have a '95 16v and this is one noisey motor, i've replaced the fuel filter, put in a K&N and replaced the entire exaust with Calmini exaust combo.  and this thing ticks quite a bit.

i've owned 2 other track/kicks but both were 8v's and they were quiet as a mouse.  The car runs absolutely awesome, no power loss or hesitation just the slight ticking noise i hear.  Is light to moderate ticking noise a common trait of the 16V motors?

Speed, I emailed you a couple of scanned images from the Chilton's manual #66500.

You can check the O2 sensor heater with an ohmmeter. A good reading is about 10-15 ohms and it gets its power from the ECU. Do NOT check the O2 sensor itself with an ohmmeter. Check the sensor with the meter on DC voltage. The sensor puts out a voltage in the range of 0 VDC (very lean) to about 1 VDC (very rich). When cruising, the signal will tend to bounce around 450-600 millivolts.

If the oxygen sensor is bad, it won't set a CEL until the engine has been running about 15-20 minutes with a significantly bad sensor input. The sensor can be bad but the ECU will still think it's good. That's why it's a good idea to see what the sensor is doing by checking its actual output with a meter.

The ticking is common with fuel injector intake arrangement. The injectors pulsing is a normal sound. You did not have that sound on a 8V because it is a TBI and the injectors are sealed under the air filter assy. Remove the air cleaner hat and you will hear the same ticking on the 8V also.

Thanks a lot. I'll have to look into that today. I was going to check the ignition timing today, but I guess I will check that first. The motor just doesn't seem to be running right. I wish I had something to compare to.
