offer to take the "director" on a trail ride someday ... the "embarrassment" will be him crapping his pants when you take a steep off camber hill climb or that 3' deep "puddle".
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy it.

Okay, you all might appreciate this.  I had to drive my 90 Tracker to work the other day and one of the directors of a department approached me to state that my little Tracker was a complete embarrassment! (no joke).  wow, that took balls.    Yeah, it may be dented, scratched, and have rock rash on all four corners, but I wouldn't trade it for the world.....plus it has air conditioning ;D  People like that probably buy jeeps for us to rescue!  Have a good one all and keep on wheeling.

What an |removethispart|@ss....I mean really...who comes up and tells you your truck is a complete embarassment? I mean maybe say boy its had a rough life...but a complete embrassment? Tell him his wife is a complete embarassment but he kept her...:D

I vote for the mud/park close thing.

Actually here at work when I still had grey primer on my white sidekick , they actually looked up the number of the sticker to see if it matched the vehicle, they thought noone that is staff (university) would drive something like that.  Luckily I know the chief of saftey & stupidity and the officer that checked my sticker got harrassed back for being stupid....still pissed me off though.

It runs well, its paid for so I don't have that huge new car payment or insurance, and it has served me well for many many miles....so where is the problem?

aww just park it so that the passenger side is just close enough so that he has to brush up against it in his suit.

I love doing that to the exec at work who can't figure out that his Land Rover does not belong in two parking spots.
course when he does this I'm guaranteed a parking spot since the Sammy is the only thing that will fit next to him.

I like your way of thinking ;D

Hey Aaron, can you really make hamburgers for breakfast in that super neat little RV? Park that by the idiots Beemer.

It ocurs to me that some of my zukbrothers might classify my Calmini project Vitara  as part of the   "Asphalt 4 Wheelers Club "  because it has yet to get a dent in it or break anything. ...Ok I can take it. Give me your best shot  ;D

Hamburgers, Chicken, what every you want to cook.  It has a three burner stove, ice box, and 15 gl of water.  I like your idea, I think I'll open a breakfast nook in the morning and have a sign that says " all proceeds go to my Tracker". ;D

My Vit won't pull my RV, so my RV pulls my Vit. But hey, what ever works, right. Besides you can get into those spots close to the fish.

I have thought about making some sort of slide-out bed platform for my 88 sam for when I'm out in snake country. Hang a tarp off the roof rack and you've got "Home Sweet Home" Or you could even back into the fishing hole and fish off the back deck. I'll bet the beemer dude wouldn't understand than either...  ;D

Yeah, I understand.  Pulling my little trailer is no longer an option with the 4x4 vehicle.  Since I sold my bronco, I have to use my 4-runner to pull the trailer.  Although the Tracker weighs about a 1000lbs. more than the trailer, it doesn't have the power to pull it.

Sorry this is a little off subject, but how do you run ac and onboard air?
Did you offer to take the director wheeling?  That way  he might see the "beauty" of your beast. ;D

I have a QuickAir electric pump on-board.  The A/C Compressor does work really well but it is not worth the trade-off of cool air on a hot day.  Call me a pussy, but I had enough hot days in my bronco, A/C is very enjoyable ;D If you want a electric pumb that kicks, look up Kirby (I think that is it, if you are really interested, I'll find the info on it).  He has mounted a York A/C compressor to hook up to a 12 volt system.  I ran the York in my bronco and it was absolutly amazing.  I could run air tools off of it.

I would demand an apology or he would be feeling the floor mighty quick.

I once had some dumb-ass construction worker call my Sidekick a piece of shit...at the time I wasn't as ballsy as I am now, and lucky for him I wasn't, because I would have knocked his teeth out.

I never bash anybodies ride.

I really can't count how many compliments I have gotten for my ride in the last 12 years.

I work for a rental car company and we have more service issues with Caddys than any other car. GMs sticking too much crap on them, and the more complex they get, the more that can screw up. I personally had one break down on me in BFE (in between Sioux Falls,SD and Sioux City, IA), after that, I vowed to never rent another one. It was 30 below zero, and I had my 6 month old son and wife in the car, not good I will tell you.
