Granted, yes it was a terrible pain in the ass.   Up close the grille doesnt look its best, it had to be patched in spots.   What I wanna do is this summer when I get my body work done, I want to remove all the striping from the grille and have the body shop paint a stripe on there..... if they can, its an old guy running it, shouldnt be a problem though.   The estimate was about $1400.   That includes:

1.Grinding down metal and repainting beneath the trim under the doors (and rustproofing there)
2. Grind down right rear wheel well and repainting it.
3. Replace right door (its rusted inside BADDD), repaint and fix a couple dents in my replacement door I already have.
4. replace right front fender with my replacement fender, and repaint it.

Yes, I know its kinda financially stupid to put that money into a car with a blue book value for around maybe $3000 (probably not even), but I dont give a shit!   If it makes me happy, it makes me happy.   Ill be taking out a loan.   Paying like $60 a month is nothing to how happy Ill be with my perfect Tracker.

All the rust and dents were repaired.
Bodykit was molded on to the front and rear while the sides are TRULY molded on.
Everything was painted in the totally BAD ASS NSX Imora Orange.

Cost me under 2K
which INCLUDES the price of the civic kit w shipping to HI

Come on, Quaddawg, I have vinyl!   I love my stripe!

Personally, I say remove those vinyls and the plastic trim, but Id maybe replace them with some other decals.

I love my stripe!

I am just not a
"vinyl" kinda guy I guess...

Just seems sorta..... well........ pointless..

I think we're coming at it from two different perspectives here.  I think the stripe (notice the e, all  of us here in America took English at some point in our lives folks, it's not that difficult ;) ) looks good on Tracker_Camps96's Tracker but would I do it on mine?  Nope.  I've stuck two USMC stickers on mine and called it good so far.

Then there's guys like us that like to abuse our trucks offroad.  My first Tracker had asphault undercoating on the lower portion of the body to hide the rust and stuff.  Only later did I find out someone made a spray on bedliner.  This one will likely get a similar treatment but I'm not sure what kind of bedliner I will use.  Gotta keep the body together a couple more winters. :P  Would Tracker_Camps96 think of putting bedliner on the exterior of his truck?  Somehow I doubt it.

Horses for courses.

What do you mean spray on bedliner?  Like the whole body?   Im confused.   Yeah, I keep mine clean most times, unless I do offroad.

HEY AJM, just curious, does your 90 Tracker still have the seats?   If so, what do they look like and would you sell them?

I'm thinking go the "expensive route" and do Herculiner up the body line on the Tracker or go the "inexpensive route" and get the Duplicolor spray on (in the aerosol (sp?) can) bedliner.

Ugh, you don't want them.  Smelly, stained, and fugly.
